Can I adjust how long the camera records when triggered by motion?
Currently, the CoopCam records in 10-second clips when triggered by motion. This setup balances capturing relevant activity while preserving battery life. The system buffers the 10 seconds before and after the motion, ensuring you get the most important part of the event quickly.
Some settings, like the “run” profile, allow for more continuous motion detection. Although clips are still recorded in 10-second intervals, they can be stitched together for a longer view of the activity.
An upcoming feature will allow video to be saved directly to a microSD card in the camera. This will enable you to download and playback longer continuous recordings directly from the app, offering a more flexible solution without draining battery life as quickly.
Stay tuned for this feature!
